The exercise equipment that I made for PE is a weighted ankle bracelet. I didn’t have to spend any money on this project because I had already had all the materials at my house. I had a lot of felt from past projects so I saw the chance to finally use some of it for an important project. I also had A LOT of nail polish that hadn’t been used and needed to be thrown out so I just used them as a part of my weights. I chose to create this exercise equipment because for professional runners it can be easy for them to do a couple of miles but with weights on their feet, it will make their muscles work harder to run and will eventually become stronger which I think everyone would want for themselves.
For my project for P.E, I created a weighted ankle bracelet. The materials I used to create this project are scissors, hot glue sticks, hot glue gun, felt material, and old nail polish and rice. What I did was I cut four strips of felt and stretched them out to a size that would wrap around an ankle after that I glued each of the ends to the other end to create a ring-like shape for the ankle bracelet. Then I cut two rectangles out for the pouches and filled the pouches with rice and nail polish. Lastly, I glued two straps to each of the weighted pouches to create the finished project of a workout ankle bracelet. The experience I had while making this was very informing, it taught me that if I was in an emergency for exercise equipment I would be prepared because I know I can create something by myself. It is important to know how to create a piece of exercise equipment because if you are motivated to lose weight but have no equipment to workout with then you can easily create cheap effective workout equipment. You might need exercise equipment when you want to lose weight or strengthen your muscles. My creation will affect the muscle in your lower legs, the calf. With this weight you can even do exercises that don't involve running like crunches, jumping jacks, or even leg lifts. This weight will make your legs work harder when just doing the average running and in the long run, your legs will become stronger and be able to do higher things. |
